Texas machine tool manufacturer moving headquarters to Rolling Meadows

Danobat, a manufacturer of machine tools and production systems for the auto, aerospace, rail and energy sectors, announced plans Tuesday to open its new headquarters in Rolling Meadows.

The facility will become the manufacturer's second in the United States; it currently operates in Houston. A company spokesman Tuesday declined to disclose the address of the Rolling Meadows building, which is being renovated and expected to open in the first quarter of 2022.

The 12,700-square-foot building will feature a commercial, production and quality control operation, allowing workers to run test parts and work on machine customizations. It also will house a number of administrative offices including sales, marketing, engineering/part/service divisions. Seven jobs are expected, with plans to add more, according to a news release from Intersect Illinois, the state's public-private economic development organization that assisted in the recruitment process.

Company officials say the expansion is aimed at better serving its U.S.-based customers, which include manufacturers such as 3M, Delta Air Lines, GE, Kennametal, Sandvik, Schaeffler, Solar Turbines and Timken.

"Danobat is thrilled to bring our US headquarters to Illinois - a move that aligns with our decision to offer direct and localized support to our customers in the region," Manex Ochoteco, the company's president, said in the news release. "As Danobat continues to expand our U.S. presence and to meet current global demand, we can think of no better location than Illinois - a true hub for advanced manufacturing - to build our team and customer base."
