Girls golf: Stevenson outshoots Glenbrook South to win at Arboretum

Stevenson's team, St. Charles North's Catie Nekola and Glenbrook South's Effie Perakis took top honors Saturday at the Stevenson girls golf invite, played at The Arboretum in Buffalo Grove.

The Patriots shot 340 as a team, 5 strokes better than Glenbrook South. St. Charles North was third at 364 and Prospect fourth with a 383.

 

Nekola and Perakis each had 72s to share medalist honors.

Jessica Velent led Stevenson with an 80. Amarita Johar had an 83 for the Pats, while Rylie Pryor shot an 87 and Abby Froyshteter a 90.

Katie Riesing paced Prospect with an 85.
