DuPage Children's Museum to host Transportation Zoo

Vehicles that dig, dump, push, scoop and transport will be featured at the DuPage Children's Museum's "Semi" Touch-A-Truck event next weekend.

Transportation Zoo will be 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 31 in the Naperville museum's parking lot, 301 N. Washington St.

While some trucks will be for display only, others will allow children to sit behind the wheel, climb into the back or perch on the bumpers, museum officials said. Drivers and operators also will be available to answer questions.

Returning favorites include Navistar's International LoneStar Class 8 Truck, Groot's Residential Garbage Truck, and Ozinga's Cement Mixer, among others.

The event is included with museum membership or admission, which costs $15 for adults and children and $14 for anyone 59 and older. Kids under 1 are free. Preregistration is required.
