Wheat for May rose 5 cents at $7.4250 a bushel; May corn gained 38 cents at 7.40 a bushel, May oats was up 4.75 cents at $4.01 a bushel; while May soybeans gained 28.50 cents at $15.71 cents a bushel.
Beef was lower and pork was higher on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. Apr. live cattle was off 3.47 cents at $1.16 a pound; Apr. feeder cattle fell 2.25 cents at $1.3360 a pound; while May lean hogs rose 1.40 cents at $1.1012 a pound.
