Schaumburg Township sets vaccine clinic on April 29
Schaumburg Township will host its fourth COVID-19 vaccination event from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, April 29, at the Schaumburg Community Recreation Center, 505 N. Springinsguth Road in Schaumburg, in conjunction with the Schaumburg Park District and Jewel-Osco.
This event has more than 1,100 available appointments and will administer the Pfizer vaccine. All Illinois residents 16 and older can receive the vaccine regardless of insurance coverage or immigration status, including individuals who are undocumented.
All 16 and 17-year-olds require parental consent. All second dose appointments will be on Thursday, May 20, at the same time and same place as first dose appointments.

Community members interested in volunteering can call Becky Cordes at (847) 884-0030. The township will need about 60 volunteers for both first dose and second dose appointments.
Schaumburg Township helped vaccinate 1,000 people last weekend. Those participants will be able to receive their second doses on May 15.
