Palatine taking appointments for mulch delivery

The Palatine Public Works Department is scheduling appointments for its annual wood mulch delivery program. Deliveries will take place on Fridays April 2, April 9, April 16 and April 23, to residents' driveway aprons.

The program is available only to single-family residences within the village. The cost is $15 per cubic yard, with a 3-cubic-yard minimum order and a 10-cubic-yard maximum.

Appointments are on a first-come, first-served basis and fill quickly. Call public works at (847) 705-5200 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday to schedule an appointment.

For smaller amounts of mulch, residents may visit the mulch bins at the village's holding site, 550 N. Smith St., near the Smith Tank water tower. Bring your own shovel and containers. There is no charge to pick up your own mulch.
