Grains lower, livestock higher

CHICAGO (AP) - Grain futures were lower on Tuesday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade. Wheat for Mar. lost 10 cents at $6.43 a bushel; Mar. corn was off .25 cent at $5.4275 a bushel; Mar. oats fell 8.50 cents at $3.4250 a bushel; while Mar. soybeans declined 12.50 cents at $13.4750 a bushel.

Beef and pork were higher on the on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

Feb. live cattle was up .30 cent at $1.1537 a pound; Jan. feeder cattle gained 1.48 cents at $1.3845 a pound; Feb. lean hogs rose .72 cent at .7077 a pound.
