Bensenville extends sale deadline for developer

Bensenville has extended the deadline for a developer to acquire a village-owned property at the northwest corner of Main and Center streets.

LV Development LLC has a letter of intent to complete the $100,000 purchase of 101 W. Main St. and the village parking lot on the east side of North Center Street.

The village board passed a resolution Tuesday to extend the deadline to Monday, Feb. 1. A previous deadline was Dec. 31, 2020, and extensions had been made as accommodations due to difficulties brought on by the coronavirus pandemic.

The extension also allows LV Development more time to acquire an abutting property at 18 N. Center St. The developer has plans to build a multistory mixed-use commercial and residential building in downtown Bensenville.
