Game cards available for Batavia MainStreet's 'Home for the Holidays' promotion
2020 has been devastating to small businesses, which is why Batavia MainStreet has decided to eschew the usual “Small Business Saturday,” the one day a year typically reserved for shopping at and celebrating small businesses.
Instead, this year, Batavia is going to celebrate local small businesses for two full weeks with “Prepare Your Home for the Holidays!”
To support small businesses, print off your game card, or pick one up in the lobby of the Batavia Chamber of Commerce, 106 W. Wilson St.
Shop for presents (for yourself or others — no judgment here!), enjoy some pampering, order food, enjoy all that Batavia's downtown businesses have to offer anytime between Nov. 27 and Dec. 11.
You'll receive a sticker with purchases of $20 or more at any of our downtown merchants, including curbside and delivery orders.
Use your stickers to fill all 10 rooms in your game card to be entered into a drawing for the “Prepare Your Home for the Holidays” prize package, valued at more than $3,500.
Make sure your name and phone number are on your game card and then return it to Batavia MainStreet, 5 E. Wilson St., or the Chamber of Commerce, 106 W. Wilson St., no later than Dec. 11. If nobody is in when you go to drop off your game card, please leave it in the mailbox at either location.
One winner will be randomly selected out of all completed game cards submitted by the end of the day on Dec. 11.
The “Prepare Your Home for the Holidays” prize package includes:
• 8- by 10-foot rug (valued at $1,200) from Carlson's Floors;
• $200 carpet cleaning from The Right Guys Carpet Cleaning;
• Hot water heater and installation (valued at $1,500) from Bulldog Plumbing;
• $100 sofa cleaning from Great Guys Carpet Cleaning;
• $350 in tree pruning services from Henry Tree Company;
