Dining events: Get BOGO Bar Bites during Happy Hour at The Clubhouse

The Clubhouse in Oak Brook is reopening its dining rooms Friday, June 26. And to welcome everyone back inside, the restaurant will be offering a buy one, get one special starting Monday, June 29. Anyone who makes a minimum $5 drink purchase from 3 to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday can get a free item from the Bar Bites menu. Options include the baked goat cheese, bacon mozzarella risotto fritters, West 22nd Street steak tacos, caprese skewers, jalapeño Angus sliders and Chef's Special. For those dining in, all parties will be limited to tables of 10 or fewer. Reservations are recommended; limited availability for walk-ins. Alfresco dining, curbside pickup and delivery are still an option, too.

Just a taste

On Father's Day, Seasons 52 added the special Cookies 'n' Cream Mini Indulgence, which proved so popular the restaurant is keeping it around all season. The $4 treat features layers of cream-filled chocolate cookie pieces and cookies 'n' cream mousse topped with a chocolate cookie. It joins the raspberry chocolate chip cannoli mini and Belgian chocolate s'mores mini.

Faves return

Lucky for diners, Cooper's Hawk is bringing back guest favorites such as Mexican Drunken Shrimp, Dana's Parmesan-Crusted Chicken, crab and lobster bisque, gnocchi carbonara, churrasco grilled steak and more to its limited carryout menu. As restaurants in Illinois reopen for indoor dining Friday, expect that eventual return of the full dine-in menu.

New to you

Ah, comfort food. Catch 35 has added some new items to the menu that definitely say comfort. New options include beef short rib sliders ($14), grilled skirt steak tacos ($16), 8-ounce LHA Reserve skirt steak with portabella mushrooms ($25), braised beef short ribs ($18) and a 16-ounce demi glacé rib-eye ($48).

If you've been wondering when City Works in Schaumburg and Vernon Hills and sister restaurants Old Town Pour House in Naperville and Oak Brook would reopen, now we know: Wednesday, July 1.
