McHenry County Conservation District offers 'Yoga in Nature' evening series

Start your week off right by relaxing through "Yoga in Nature" with McHenry County Conservation District. It will be offerd from 5 to 6 p.m. Mondays, July 13 to Aug. 17, at the Lost Valley Visitor Center's patio in Glacial Park, Route 31 and Harts Road in Ringwood.

For six weeks, a yoga instructor will lead a series of movements that focus on reflection, breath work, and yoga principles, beneath the branches of the majestic oaks and landscape views of Glacial Park. Be sure to bring your own towel, mat and water bottle.

If weather is inclement, we will move indoors. Social distancing will be followed, also bring your mask and hand sanitizer.

The program is for ages 14 years and older. Space is limited. Cost for the 6-week course is $70 for residents or $80 for nonesidents $80. Registration deadline is Sunday, July 12.

The McHenry County Conservation District currently owns and protects 25,570 acres of open space which provides wildlife habitat preservation, educational opportunities and recreational amenities for the citizens of McHenry County to enjoy.
