ARLINGTON, Texas -- The Texas Rangers have signed all five of their picks from baseball's condensed amateur draft after completing deals with their third- and fifth-round selections.

Texas announced Wednesday the signings of right-hander Tekoah Roby and shortstop Thomas Saggese. Both 18-year-old players were drafted out of high school two weeks ago.

Saggese ($800,000) and Roby ($775,000) each got signing bonuses above slot.

The Rangers signed their other three draft picks last Friday, with Mississippi State second baseman Justin Foscue receiving a $3.25 million signing bonus after being the 14th overall pick. Their other two picks were high school players who got $1.25 million signing bonuses - second-round pick Evan Carter, an outfielder, and fourth-round pick Dylan MacLean, a left-handed pitcher.

Roby was picked 86th overall after starring at Pine Forest High in Pensacola, Florida. He was 7-3 with a 1.19 ERA as a junior in 2019, with 109 strikeouts and 10 walks.

Saggese was chosen in the fifth round, 145th overall, from Carlsbad High School in California. He hit .440 with three homers in a shortened prep season this spring, after batting .422 with 10 homers as a junior.
