Lake County may fly LGBTQ flag

Lake County officials are considering a proposal to fly the LGBTQ Pride Flag at the county government center in Waukegan starting Friday. The plan would have the flag displayed in Lincoln Plaza through July 3. It would commemorate the 50th anniversary of the first LGBTQ Pride March and be in support of the county's lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning community. The county board's financial and administrative committee will discuss the proposal during its remote meeting Tuesday. That session is set for 1:30 p.m. It will be broadcast live at lakecounty.tv, on Comcast's Channel 18 or Channel 30 and AT&T U-verse Channel 99.
