Officials: 38 cars burn in 2 arsons on Chicago's South Side

CHICAGO (AP) - Dozens of cars were set on fire early Monday in separate arsons at two lots on Chicago's South Side, police and fire officials said. Shortly after midnight, someone entered a private towing yard and set 30 cars on fire, officials said. Minutes earlier, someone entered a fenced lot and set fire to eight abandoned vehicles, they said. No injuries were reported in either incident, and no one is in custody, officials said. It was not immediately clear whether the two arsons were related, police said.
