Chicago Bears mascot helps Adler Park students learn about healthy living

Students at Adler Park School in Libertyville enjoyed a Chicago Bears First and Goal assembly Oct. 28 with Staley Da Bear, the official Chicago Bears mascot.

Staley, along with his manager, Levi, visited the Libertyville school and talked about healthy living.

During an informative, hands-on, educational school health show, Levi talked to students while Staley enhanced the discussion with antics on the benefits of living a healthy life.

The assembly was to help jump-start the students' desire to begin living a smarter and healthier life.

During the show, Staley brought out a bottle of orange soda and was going to drink it all until Levi reminded him it wasn't healthy. Afraid of getting in trouble, Staley tried to hide among the students.

He also guided them in a dance routine, played a game to see if students were learning how to live a healthier life, and gave students high-fives at the end of the performance.

The assembly was sponsored by the Adler Park Family Association.
