Arlington Heights Rotary Santa Run set for Dec. 7

Hundreds of runners and walkers dressed as everyone's favorite jolly old elf will trot through the streets of downtown Arlington Heights on Saturday, Dec. 7, for the seventh annual Rotary Santa Run.

The race features a 5K race through a traffic-free course, as well as a 1-mile walk for those who prefer a slower pace and a four-block "Reindeer Run" for kids 10 and under.

The event is hosted by the Rotary Club of Arlington Heights and raises money for its annual Community Grants Program. To date, the club has donated more than $250,000 to worthy causes throughout Arlington Heights and neighboring communities, directly as a result of the Santa Run.
