Boys soccer: Lake Zurich shuts out Waukegan

Andrew Juarez scored on a free kick, Aiman Naqvi knocked in a rebound, and Lake Zurich's boys soccer team completed North Suburban Conference play with a 2-0 shutout of visiting Waukegan on Tuesday night.

Eric Bibb had an assist for the Bears (5-9-3, 3-4), and keeper Matt Vollmer made 5 saves in earning the shutout.

Round Lake 2, Lake Forest Academy 1: Bruce Ruiz scored both goals for the Panthers in the nonconference match.

Round Lake keeper Jerry Perez made 8 saves.

Glenbrook South 5, Grayslake North 2: Sam Inmon and Omar Cordova scored for the visiting Knights in the nonconference game.

Grayslake North (5-8-2) also received an assist from Logan Holevas.

"Tough game against a big quality GBS team," Grayslake North coach Adam DeCaluwe said. "Unfortunately, we gave up some early goals in both halves, despite playing a pretty good team game."

Zion-Benton 4, Grayslake Central 2: Christian Hinestrosa and Benjamin Berry scored for the visiting Rams in their nonconference loss.

Grayslake Central fell to 6-11.
