Des Plaines firefighter on life support after motorcycle crash

A Des Plaines firefighter is on life support after a motorcycle crash Sunday in Lake Zurich, according to fellow Des Plaines firefighter Brian Rieger.

Paul Miller is "not doing well" at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, Rieger said Monday evening. The collision occurred when another motorist pulled out in front of Miller, Rieger said.

The Des Plaines Firefighters Association posted a statement on Facebook.

"An unfortunate accident this morning has left a member of our department in critical condition," the post read. "Please keep him and his family in your thoughts and prayers tonight. Stay strong brother, you got this."

Authorities in Lake Zurich couldn't be reached for comment on the details of the crash.
