Get into spring spirit with Hoffman Estates Park District

This April, look to Hoffman Estates Park District for your family fun. Get outside and enjoy bunny, dog and active events all month long.

Tee off at Bridges of Poplar Creek or enjoy an evening learning something new. Some events require registration. For details or to register, visit HEParks.org or call (847) 885-7500.

• Grab your favorite, four-legged friends and bring them to Doggie Eggstravaganza April 13. Dogs will hunt for treat-filled eggs throughout the dog park. Proof of vaccination and registration at $5 per dog are required. Spectators welcome. Egg hunts will be held at Bo's Run from 9:30-10 a.m. and Freedom Run from 11-11:30 a.m.

• Join for Breakfast with the Bunny Saturday, April 13. Children will receive a special gift from the Easter Bunny and a helicopter egg drop will scatter the fun for all. Reservations are required. The fee is $13.95 for adults and children ages 4 and older; $5.95 for children ages 3 and younger.

• Get a taste of the wild side from 6-7 p.m. Wednesday, April 17, at "Whoo Goes There," an HEParks Nature Program for ages 5 and older at Vogelei Park. Participants will learn how to identify owls, hawks and falcons by sight and sound. $10. Registration is required. Visit HEParks.org and enroll in Activity# 224500. A different nature program is offered each month.

• Put on your swimsuits and goggles and dive into the Aqua Egg Hunt at The Club at Prairie Stone Saturday, April 20. Sessions begin at 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. Participants must register in advance. The cost is $15 for residents of Hoffman Estates and $20 for nonresidents.

• Hop on over to Bridges of Poplar Creek and celebrate Easter. On Sunday, April 21, enjoy a special brunch with all of the classics. Easter brunch is served buffet-style and reservations are required. The cost is $29.95 for adults, $15.95 for children ages 4-12, and free for children ages 3 and younger.
