Grains mostly lower, livestock higher

CHICAGO (AP) - Grain futures were lower Friday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for Mar. delivery fell 8.60 cents at $4.4940 a bushel; Mar. corn was off 2.40 cents at $3.61 a bushel; Mar. oats was unchanged at $2.52 at bushel; while Mar. soybeans lost 4.60 cents at 8.9840 a bushel.

Beef and pork were higher on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

Feb. live cattle was up .82 cent at $1.3022 a pound; Mar. feeder cattle rose .10 cent at $1.4265 a pound; Apr. lean hogs gained 1.23 cents at .5718 a pound.
