USC women use game-ending run to beat Cal 86-76
LOS ANGELES (AP) - Aliyah Mazyck scored 28 points, Minyon Moore added 27 - both season highs - and USC used a big game-ending run to beat California 86-76 on Friday night.
USC (15-9, 5-8 Pac-12) trailed 74-73 before outscoring Cal 13-2 in the final 3:20, with seven points from Moore, to beat the Golden Bears for the first time in five meetings.
Kayla Overbeck added 15 points. Moore dished five assists to jump to No. 6 on USC's all-time list at 419.
Cal's Kristine Anigwe scored 30 points with 14 rebounds, her 25th consecutive double-double and fifth 30-point game this season. Recee' Caldwell added 15 points and Asha Thomas 11 for the Golden Bears (14-10, 5-8), who came into the game with consecutive losses to top-10 teams Stanford, Oregon and Oregon State.
USC led 51-46 in the third quarter when Cal went on a 15-3 run with seven points from Jaelyn Brown to take a 61-54 lead before the Trojans cut it to 61-60 going into the fourth quarter.
