CHICAGO: Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush is growing its footprint in the western suburbs with plans to open a new facility at 2011 York Road in Oak Brook, officials said in a news release Tuesday.

The MOR practice occupies the building's first floor with 16 patient exam rooms, a cast room, physical therapy, occupational therapy, MRI and X-ray imaging, and durable medical equipment services for orthopedic patients.

The location also features a sports performance center, designed to help patients transition from physical therapy to more intense physical activity. The third floor features an outpatient surgery center that includes six operating rooms, two procedure rooms, and 28 patient bays for pre-surgical preparation and post-surgical recovery.

Physicians will begin seeing patients in Oak Brook on Jan. 2. Appointments starting can be made now by calling 877-MD-BONES or by visiting www.rushortho.com/appointments.

MOR physicians are available to treat the following orthopedic sub-specialties in Oak Brook: foot and ankle; hand, wrist and elbow; hip and knee reconstruction and replacement; physical medicine and pain management; spine, back and neck; sports medicine and shoulder.

The new location expands the number of MOR clinics west of Chicago, including those in Westchester, Winfield and Oak Park. Another clinic in Naperville is scheduled to open in late 2019.
