ENCLAVE to recognize five local leaders
Five suburban leaders will be honored for their achievements at the inaugural Luminary Leaders event Dec. 13 in Elk Grove Village, hosted by ENCLAVE Foundation for Entrepreneurs.
The event will begin at 4:30 p.m. Dec. 13 at ENCLAVE O'Hare, 75 Turner Ave., Elk Grove Village
The five leaders be inducted into the Class of 2018 for ENCLAVE's Luminary Leaders League, which will grow as a local-to-global thought leadership, collaboration and resource hub.
The five honorees include:
• David R. Schuler, Ph.D., superintendent of Township High School District 214, the Superintendent of the Year for the United States
• Paul W. Kelly, Elk Grove High School principal and the Principal of the Year for Illinois
• Ricardo (Ricky) Castro, Elk Grove High School teacher and the Teacher of the Year 2017
• Richard J. Mikel, Elk Grove Fire Chief and Fire Chief of the Year for Illinois
• Eric R. Broughton, ENCLAVE Entrepreneur of the Year 2018, of Naperville, who recently sold his company, Apartment Jet Inc., to Expedia for $21.5 million.
Elk Grove Village Mayor Craig B. Johnson and Police Chief Charles G. Walsh will also be on hand to congratulate the honorees, Johnson, along with ENCLAVE co-founders, psychiatrists David E. Morrison, Jr., M.D. and David E. (Daven) Morrison III, M.D., will speak at the event.
“In alignment with ENCLAVE's mission with entrepreneurs and their influencers — to illuminate the personal journey for exceptional performance — each honoree will share up to 10 minutes of revealing storytelling,” said John R. Dallas, Jr., CEO of ENCLAVE Foundation for Entrepreneurs. “Honorees will explore the experience of achieving recognition. Rarely do winners of awards or other distinction reveal their psychology and emotion related to learning about a specific recognition, and the increased expectations of others and oneself.”
