The real 'art of the deal'
Saturday December 1 Dushan O. Lipensky says Donald Trump has a twofold plan to make the Saudis pay for the murder of Mr. Khashoggi. Bear in mind Mr. Trump has basically washed his hands clean of this dirty deed. However, the writer says we will soon learn of a public announcement designed to satisfy most people. The second response will never be made public but will "cost the Saudis plenty" and this is "The art of the deal."
In October 1962, the world watched as the Cuban missile crisis developed. It was 13 days of wondering if WW III would begin. However in the end, JFK, as it was said, stared down Nikita Khrushchev and Khrushchev blinked first. The nukes were pulled out of Cuba. America saved face and retained its status as the most powerful nation on earth and the Soviet Union through a back door deal had our nuclear missiles removed from Turkey.
Our victory was obvious and that is the real "art of the deal." It's not blind faith in waiting for something and thinking something will happen that we will never see.
