DIY studio celebrates second anniversary in downtown Arlington Heights

Woodcrafters DIY Studio in downtown Arlington Heights will celebrate its second anniversary next week as a "do-it-yourself" studio for making personalized farmhouse wood signs.

The shop at 28 S. Evergreen Ave. will host a celebration from 3 to 6 p.m. Wednesday with raffles, door prizes, discounted signs for sale, and a photo opp with a 1955 vintage Chevy truck decked out for the holidays that will be parked out front.

Jim and Liz Bolash opened the studio in August 2016. It hosts workshops for crafters who go through the step-by-step process of sanding, staining, distressing and painting raw wood material and turning it into a finished piece of art, all while socializing with other DIYers.
