MichaelSilver merges with Lerman CPA Group, opens Chicago 0ffice

SKOKIE - Accounting, assurance, tax, and consulting firm MichaelSilver announced it is merging with Lerman CPA Group Inc. of Chicago.

Terms of the merger were not announced.

The merger aligns with MichaelSilver's strategic plans to further strengthen its presence in the Chicago market and to open a second office in downtown Chicago. Lerman CPA Group employees will operate under the MichaelSilver name and will continue to service clients from MichaelSilver's new Chicago office, 1 S. Wacker Drive.

"Lerman CPA Group, Inc. is an ideal partner for MichaelSilver," said Jennifer A. Barliant, MichaelSilver's managing partner. "The firm has an outstanding track record of client service, a similar focus on specialized practice areas, and a workplace culture that is complementary to ours."

Irwin Lerman founded Lerman CPA Group, Inc. in 2014.

"As part of MichaelSilver's newly combined 80-person firm, we will be able to increase service offerings to our legacy clients with access to additional resources and expanded accounting, tax, and business consulting expertise that will provide significant added value," Lerman said.
