Trial starting for man, 68, charged in sister-in-law's death

HENNEPIN, Ill. (AP) - A jury has been seated in the trial of an Illinois man who is charged with killing his sister-in-law and burying her body in a shallow grave.
Judge Stephen Kouri says he doubted that he would get a jury in Putnam County. But nine men and three women were seated Tuesday, and opening statements were set for Wednesday.
Cliff Andersen is charged with first-degree murder and concealment of a death. The body of Deborah Dewey was found in 2016 in Standard, a few weeks after she was reported missing.
Prosecutors told prospective jurors that there were no eyewitnesses. A weapon also hasn't been recovered.
The 68-year-old Andersen is being held in a jail.
