Buffalo Grove church's puppeteers retiring after 24 years

After 24 years of puppet performances, the Glory Fingers Creative Ministry Team at Kingswood Church in Buffalo Grove is ending its run with the spring musical, "If God Was An Elephant."

Free performances open to all will be at 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Sunday, May 6, at 401 West Dundee Road.

"This will be our best musical yet and will be such a wonderful way to celebrate our 24 years of outreach and ministry. It is an all ages musical, for children and adults," said Sheri Brubeck, lead director for the group, which incorporates black light puppetry, signing and creative arts.

"We will miss their joy and creativity," said Rev. James Preston, lead pastor,

A reception will follow the performances. For more information, call (847) 398-0770 or visit kingswoodumc.com.
