Wyoming's Liv Roberts named MW player of the year

LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) - Wyoming guard Liv Roberts has been named the Mountain West women's basketball player of the year.

Teammates Marta Gomez was chosen the sixth player of the year and Bailee Cotton was selected to the All-Defensive team.

And Wyoming coach Joe Legerski was named the conference coach of the year.

Roberts averaged a team-high 15.9 points and 5.8 rebounds per game in conference play.

The senior from Missoula, Montana is Wyoming's first Mountain West Conference player of the year since Aubrey Vandiver in 2011.
