Authorities: Man arrested after 2 slain in northern Indiana

LIGONIER, Ind. (AP) - Authorities say a man has been arrested following the fatal shootings of two people in northern Indiana.

Noble County Prosecutor Eric Blackman says police in Ligonier (lihg-uh-NEER') responded Monday night to a 911 call and found a man dead on a sidewalk and a woman dead inside a home. He says a Fort Wayne man suspected in the slayings was jailed following a vehicle chase.

Details of the circumstances of the shooting deaths and the names of the dead weren't immediately released.

Blackman says the case is expected to be reviewed soon for formal charges. He says two females were picked up for questioning in Kendallville and Fort Wayne.
