Indianapolis bounty hunter convicted of killing 2 teens

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - A jury has convicted an Indianapolis bounty hunter of two counts of murder in the slayings of two teenagers, including one he suspected of burglarizing his home.

Fifty-one-year-old Kevin Watkins was found guilty Friday of killing 15-year-old Timmee Jackson and 16-year-old Satori Dion Williams on Dec. 24, 2015. Williams' mother spotted blood on Watkins' property the following day. The boys' bodies were not found for weeks.

During opening arguments in the five-day trial, Watkins' attorney, Jeffrey Scott Neel, told the jury his client used a tomahawk to kill the two youths in self-defense after they pointed guns at him outside his home.

Watkins is due to be sentenced on March 23. He faces charges of criminal confinement and impersonation of a public servant in an unrelated case.
