Deaths of 2 Indiana teens investigated as murder-suicide

MARION, Ind. (AP) - Police say the deaths of two northeastern Indiana teenagers are being investigated as a suspected murder-suicide.

Marion police say 13-year-old Alainee M. Byer of Jonesboro and 17-year-old Corbin T. Page of Gas City were found dead Sunday by Byer's father inside his home in the city about 60 miles northeast of Indianapolis.

Investigators say they found a handgun at the scene but did not disclose how the teens may have died.

Autopsies were planned for Monday on Byer and Page, who were pronounced dead at the scene about 2:30 a.m. Sunday.

Police said the deaths apparently followed the end of a "relationship between Byer and Page."

Byer was a student at Baskett Middle School and Page was a student at Mississinewa (mis-ih-SIHN'-uh-wah) High School. Both schools are in Gas City.
