Police release updated suspect sketch in 2008 store killings

TINLEY PARK, Ill. (AP) - Suburban Chicago police have released an updated 3-D image of a suspect in a shooting that left five women dead in a Lane Bryant clothing store a decade ago.

Friday is the tenth anniversary of the Tinley Park killings. On Thursday, police released the new image prepared by Michigan State Police. It's an enhanced version of the original sketch that was based on an account given to authorities by one of the women inside the store who was wounded in the Feb. 2, 2008 shootings.

The case remains unsolved. Tinley Park Police Chief Steve Neubauer says authorities hope the enhanced sketch "will lead to the identification of the suspect in this horrible crime."

Police say a detective remains assigned full-time to the case and they've investigated thousands of leads over the last decade.
