No. 22 Villanova women top Fairfield after 18-4 3rd quarter

FAIRFIELD, Conn. (AP) - Adrianna Hahn made five 3-pointers and scored 21 points, Bridget Herlihy added four 3s and a career-high 19 points, and No. 22 Villanova beat Fairfield 73-44 on Wednesday night.

Villanova led by just 10 at halftime but used an 18-4 run in the third quarter to take a 55-31 lead entering the fourth. The Wildcats were 8-of-10 shooting in the third and held Fairfield to just four points.

Hahn, who is averaging 12.3 points per game, scored 14 of Villanova's 16 points in the first quarter as the Wildcats held a one-point lead. Hahn reached 20-plus points for the 13th time in her career.

Kelly Jekot, who was coming off a career-high 27 points in Sunday's 79-44 win over Saint Joseph's, scored seven points for Villanova (8-0). The Wildcats play 10 of their first 12 games of the season on the road.

Sam Kramer scored 11 points for Fairfield (3-5), which shot just 26 percent.
