Miracle on Main Street returns to downtown Lake Zurich Dec. 2

Join in from 3-7 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 2, in downtown Lake Zurich for Miracle on Main Street. The village's 35-foot tree will be displayed for the holiday season, and children will get an opportunity to meet Santa and Mrs. Claus and their reindeer. The tree lighting ceremony will begin at 5 p.m.

Event entertainment will include Lake Zurich High School's Bare Voices, a DJ and the Academy of Performing Arts. There will be children's crafts, sleigh rides, adult beverages, and food vendors. Cookies and hot cocoa will be provided by the Lake Zurich Area Chamber of Commerce and hot cider will be provided by the Lions Club.

Attendees can also support local Cub Scout Pack 92, who are collecting new winter hats, gloves, mittens, scarves and coats to distribute to those in need in the community through St. Matthew's Church.

Get there early, as the annual Lake Zurich Lions Club Candy Cane Hunt will begin in Lions Park right before Miracle on Main Street at 2 p.m. in Lions Park.

Miracle on Main Street is sponsored by the village of Lake Zurich, the Lake Zurich Area Chamber of Commerce, the Lake Zurich Lions Club, Lake Zurich Tire and Auto Inc. and Lumen Optical Kildeer.
