Baylor women sign 5 touted recruits to letters of intent

WACO, Texas (AP) - Third-ranked Baylor, which has won the last seven Big 12 women's basketball regular-season titles, has signed five highly touted recruits to national letters of intent.

All five players signed Wednesday, the first day of the early signing period. Each has five-star ratings and are in the top 28 recruits as ranked by ESPN Hoopgurlz.

The players who signed were forwards Caitlin Bickle from Cave Creek, Arizona; Aquira DeCosta from Sacramento, California; Queen Egbo from Houston; and NaLyssa Smith from Converse, Texas. Guard Honesty Scott-Grayson from Brick, New Jersey, was the fifth signing.

DeCosta is the highest-rated recruit at fourth overall, while Smith is eighth.

Baylor plays its season opener Friday night at home against Lamar.
