Man found guilty in death of student trying to sell his car

CLAYTON, Mo. (AP) - A St. Louis man has been found guilty of first-degree murder in the death of an Illinois college student who was lured to a remote area under the guise of a deal to sell his car.
Officials in St. Louis County prosecutor Robert McCulloch's office say 27-year-old Michael Gordon was found guilty Monday of first-degree murder in the 2015 shooting death of 19-year-old Taylor Clark. Sentencing is Dec. 19.
Clark was a sophomore at Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville who was trying to sell a sports car on Craigslist and arranged to meet Gordon in an area of Hazelwood, Missouri, behind a truck training school where Gordon worked.
Clark was shot once. Police found his body hidden in nearby woods.
