Motorcycle club to escort 125 trees to Memorial Park

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP) - A motorcycle club plans to escort 125 trees to an Indiana park as part of a program to commemorate WWI veterans.

WANE-TV reports that the trees will escorted Saturday by the Warrior Breed club from a nursery in Columbia City to Memorial Park in Fort Wayne.

It's a joint initiative involving the Fort Wayne Parks Department and the motorcycle club which is made up of honorably discharged veterans. The trees will be planted or rededicated.

Warrior Breed works as a nonprofit to assist veterans with combat-related issues like post-traumatic stress disorder. The television station says the motorcycle club has helped provide veterans with homes, wheelchairs, jobs, food and transportation.
