Egg hunt is eggs-cellent Saturday in Lake County
There were plenty of Easter egg hunts Saturday in Lake County, including action in Lindenhurst, Gurnee, Grayslake, Lake Zurich, Wauconda, Vernon Hills and Fox Lake.
In Vernon Hils, children ages 8 and younger participated in the annual Hoppin' Holiday Hunt at the park district's Sullivan Center. The event included three age-appropriate hunts, a continental breakfast, visits with the bunny, prizes and a magic show.
After the egg hunt event, the Vernon Hills Park District held a Sullivan Center grand reopening event with facility tours, light refreshments, free open gym and giveaways.
