Motorcyclist injured in crash into sign near Lily Lake

A motorcyclist was injured Sunday evening after crashing into a sign along Route 64 near Lily Lake, Kane County sheriff's Lt. Pat Gengler said.
The motorcycle was traveling west on Route 64 about 5:15 p.m. when it left the road for an unknown reason and hit the sign, he said. The crash occurred west of Woolery Road.
The driver, described as a man in his 50s, was taken to Delnor Hospital in Geneva with potentially life-threatening injuries, Gengler said. Police are not yet releasing his identity.
No tickets have been issued as of Sunday night, he said, and the crash is under investigation.
