Prioritize them, and briefly discuss why you believe each to be critical, and how the board should go about addressing them.Maintain highly ethical conduct. At all times in all matters conduct the people's business with the highest ethical standards. Be Servant Leaders At all times in all matters serve the people who have given you the privilege of serving them. In particular serve those are in most need of your help. Engage and Empower those who you lead directly, that they can fully realize their potential and find their work fulfilling and rewarding.Remember always in all matters of expenditures to seek economy and efficiency ... it is the peoples' money which that they are entrusting to you. Every tax dollar unnecessary or needless spent is a dollar no longer in the citizen's pocket to be spent for his or her personal needs or those of their families. What should be the primary responsibility of township government?see above ... to be Servant LeadersIn the 21st Century, with municipalities gobbling up vacant land, why are townships needed? Should they be serving a new role? If so, what?Government that is closest to the people can be the most responsive to the needs of the people and the most responsible and accountable for the use of the tax dollars which are entrusted to it. While it is fully appropriate to seek economies of scale in government, one must be vigilant at all times of the danger of government that becomes too large and too distant from the people it serves. Are there any township offices that should be eliminated or consolidated?I believe there is worthy consideration to be given to the consolidation of the Lisle and Naperville Townships Highway departments to be presented on the April ballot. Can you identify some township expenses/programs that could be trimmed or eliminated to reduce the tax burden?See above. Moreover, further ideas will be generated by positive innovative ideas from Township staff, by the closest attention to "bottom up" budgeting, and most importantly by the needs and desires of the citizens. The metric of performance most highly values must be serving the needs of the citizens. As stated above each and every dollar which is given in taxes is money out of the pocket of a person with a mortgage payment, a kid in college, an aging parent to care for, a senior citizen awaiting a Social Security check to pay the bill, or a someone who has just lost her/his job. Every person, every family, in our township has a precious story that needs to prevail in the hearts and minds of all those who serve them in government. What other issues, if any, are important to you as a candidate for this office?Well, most of all is building trust; trust of those I would lead, and the trust of the citizens I would serve. Above all else people must able to believe in their leader. No issues are of greater importance to me than, my faith, and my family. These shape my values and beliefs and guide all my deliberations and focus all my decisions. There are alway challenges in positions of responsibility, sometimes very big, but never bigger than my faith in the people I serve, and my God.Please name one current leader who most inspires you.Benjamin Netanyahu, Prime Minister of IsraelWhat is the biggest lesson you learned at home growing up?LOVE, hard work, aspire to your dreams! If life gave you one do-over, what would you spend it on?Serving God's children on earthWhat was your favorite subject in school and how did it help you in later life?Behavior science ... it was my vocation and advocation. If you could give your children only one piece of advice, what would it be?Love, work hard, aspire to your dreams.
