Meeting on Hoffman Estates tax break set for March 21

The joint review board representing local governments potentially affected by a tax increment finance district proposed for 184 acres in western Hoffman Estates has set its next meeting for 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 21, at Hoffman Estates village hall, 1900 Hassell Road.

The board convened its scheduled meeting on Tuesday but quickly set its next meeting for the future date to allow more time for necessary information to be available.

The property tax incentive has been requested by the developer to overcome e challenges in the development of the site at the northwest corner of routes 59 and 72 for both businesses and residences.
