Who gets an Oscar? Dann Gire has some ideas

Warning: Our next Dann & Raymond's Movie Club is not for the kids. We present "Sex in Hollywood: A Love/Hate Story" at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 2, at the Schaumburg Township District Library, 130 S. Roselle Road, Schaumburg. (schaumburglibrary.org) Clips from such sultry epics as "The Outlaw," "Son of the Sheik" and even "The Kiss." Free admission! Bring your own popcorn!

<h3 class="briefHead">'Movies About Movies' comes to Park Ridge</h3>

A new film series called "Movies About Movies: Hollywood Projects Itself" runs on Thursday nights from March 2 to May 25 as part of the Park Ridge Classic Film Series at the Park Ridge Public Library, 20 S. Prospect Ave., Park Ridge. It begins at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 2, with 1928's "Show People" starring Marion Davies.

Other movies to come include "Free and Easy" plus "The Bad and the Beautiful."

All movies begin at 7 p.m. with free admission. The series will also include "Sunset Blvd" and "Singin' in the Rain," presented at the Pickwick Theatre, 5 S. Prospect Ave., Park Ridge. Go to parkridgeclassicfilm.com/film-schedule/.
