Cubs postcard: Buzz on the bus
MESA, Ariz. - ESPN has taken its show on the road and pretty much parked it at Sloan Park.
The SportsCenter On the Road bus has been a fixture outside the Chicago Cubs' spring-training ballpark, with the network originating show after show here. Inside the ballpark, ESPN has a set in the stands behind home plate.
And why not? The Cubs are a draw, maybe an even bigger one than the Yankees and Red Sox, whom many accuse ESPN of favoring.
But take heart, Cubs fans. The "worldwide leader" already has locked up the team for five Sunday night games this coming season.
