Des Plaines Public Library Receives $32,264 Federal Funding Grant

This program collects money from telecom providers including Comcast and Verizon, and makes it available to schools and libraries through an annual grant application process.

This is the second year DPPL was awarded E-Rate funds for telecom costs. $19,897 of grand funding is deducted directly from the library's telecom bills. DPPL also received $12,367 in hardware reimbursements for the 2016 budget cycle.

DPPL will apply again for E-Rate funding in Spring 2017.
