Author events: Meet Barrington's Veronica Roth in Glencoe Jan. 18

• Celebrate the release of best-selling author Veronica Roth's newest novel, “Carve the Mark,” at an event from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18, at Central School, 620 Greenwood Ave., Glencoe. Roth, author of the “Divergent” trilogy and a Barrington native, will discuss her book onstage with Sarah Enni of the “First Draft” podcast. There will be a Q&A with audience members.
