Korean American Friendship Network donated winter 700 jackets to Poor and Homeless Peoples
The Korean American Friendship of Chicago under the supervision of Woman President of Korean-American Association Ann Jhin donated more than 700 winter jackets to Poor and Homeless Peoples in Chicago. The Program was held at Pacific Garden Mission Homeless Shelter located at 1458 S Canal St, Chicago, IL 60607 on Sunday Dec 18, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. The program was emceed by renowned Yesoe Yoon. She is a Chicago base Journalist and social worker. The program was sponsor by several organizations from Chicagoland area and hundreds of Volunteer was helping in this cause. Since several years Ms. Yesoe Yoon has big part of contribution with Korean American Friendship Network to distribute the winter jackets for those who are less fortunate.
Ann S. Jhin explains in her remarks "Many homeless people feel bitterly cold and died on the street every year. I am very thankful to every one today they are doing wonderful job providing Shelter to homeless people and donating winter jackets for such a great cause. Hundreds of people sleep rough on the streets of Chicago. This could not have been possible without the assistance of many of you who participated".
Korean born Ann S. Jhin she is a tops Asian American businesswoman in US. Last year in 2015 The Chicago municipal government marks the erection of the street sign in honor of Asian American businesswoman Ann S. Jhin, designating North Kimball Avenue.
During an interview social worker Yesoe Yoon, she did big part on this project behind said "the Purpose is the Project is no homeless one left behind without jacket in this freezing weather".
Many of Homeless felt loved by the Korean American Friendship Network. Many of the homeless people fall into tears when they received jacket. At the end organizers thanks all the Volunteer, Supporters and big thanks to Stephen Welch associate director of PGM and executive coordinator Gerald Casey for his big contribution.
