Teresa Fiocchi, Cook of the Week Challenge finalist

Teresa Fiocchi of Mundelein was one of four finalists in the Daily Herald's Cook of the Week Challenge competing live on Nov. 1. She was also named the Fan Favorite.

Occupation: Self-employed

Background: When Teresa Fiocchi was in high school, she participated in a student-run restaurant that fed teachers and staff once a week. "I love to make various types of homemade pastas that I store in the freezer, but my pantry is also stocked with all shapes of dried pasta, too."

Faced: Chris Copeland in Round 1, Craig Brannan in Round 2.

Round 1 ingredients: Turkey breast, cocoa powder, eggplant and capers.Round 2 ingredients: Boneless beef chuck, bourbon, smoked paprika and pearl onions.
