Woman wanted in theft of over $100K from North Aurora firm

A 59-year-old Florida woman is wanted on felony charges that she stole more than $100,000 from North Aurora-based Dart Container between 2012 and 2015 by falsifying corporate checks, according to Kane County court records.

Kathleen Kibler, of the 6700 block of Woods Island Circle, Port St. Lucie, was charged earlier this month on felony charges of theft of between $100,000 and $500,000, records show.

Kibler, who still has an Illinois driver's license according to court documents, is accused of using corporate checks from Dart, 310 Evergreen Drive, to pay for private purchases and work at her home between March 2012 and June 2015, court records show.

She also is accused of writing corporate checks to her son-in-law and creating false invoices for work done even though he was never a Dart employee, as well as writing checks to herself that were deposited into her personal bank account, records show.

Kibler told the individual that was working on her home that the corporate checks were from her 401K retirement account, court records show.

A woman in Dart's human resources department said she had no comment Friday.

Kibler does not have any previous arrests in Kane County.

Her bail has been set at $40,000, meaning she must post $4,000 after her arrest if she is to be released from the Kane County jail while the charges are pending.

If convicted of the most severe charge, Kibler faces between four and 15 years in prison, although probation is an option. She could also be ordered to repay some of the money she is accused of stealing.
