Man killed in two-car crash near West Chicago

A man who died after being thrown from his vehicle during a two-vehicle crash Tuesday night near West Chicago has been identified.

A spokeswoman for the DuPage County Coroner's Office said Shaun Wold, 35, of West Chicago died from injuries caused by the 11 p.m. crash at the intersection of Roosevelt Road and Gary's Mill Road. He was pronounced dead at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield.

Officials said the driver of the other vehicle was injured and is being treated at the hospital.

DuPage County sheriff's deputies are investigating the cause of the crash. The intersection was closed until about 4 a.m. Wednesday.
